I am counting down the days until our little family will be traveling to The Big Apple! I have always loved the city…the sounds, the sights, the energy, the people…all of it. This will be my sixth trip to New York City. My first trip was with my dad back in 2004 with my dad. I fell in love with it immediately and couldn’t wait to go back.
When I started planning this trip, I wanted to make it special for my girls. This will be Adalyn’s second trip to the city (we took her when she was 2 years old) and will be Charlotte’s first trip. I reached out to several brands and shops that were either located in NYC or sold NYC specific items (or both) to see if they were interested in collaborating for the posts I would be doing during and after my trip. I will be writing while we’re on our trip and after it and will be focusing on traveling to the city with littles.
I wanted to give a preview of the shops and brands that I am excited to get to collaborate with. I love that my girls will have some very special items and memories to remind them of their trip, that are not just cheap tourist souvenirs.
I am IN LOVE with these awesome shirts! They have sizes from baby to adult and different colors and styles too! You customize them based on the airport code of your home and your destination. Prices range from $24.99-$34.99 and you can order directly from their website: www.herethereeverywear.com. Use the code “EVERYWEAR” for 20% off your order & stay tuned for a giveaway while I’m on my trip! My girls will be wearing these on the airplane to NYC. They are going to be so cute in these!
This gorgeous and soft blanket is the perfect accessory to keep Charlotte warm if the weather gets chilly while we’re there. It retails for $26.00 and is available directly from their website: www.louloulollipop.com.
These vibrant and fun blocks are perfect for babies and toddlers. They are made from organic cotton and non-toxic, water based inks. This set retails for $45.00 (individual blocks retail for $25.00). Use the discount code “NYC20%” for 20% off your order! You can purchase these or check out the other city blocks they offer at: www.globetotters.com.
Having two girls I love to put them in matching outfits (Adalyn loves it too and, well Charlotte is too young to have a choice). Brooklyn, the owner/founder designed this absolutely adorable watercolor pretzel print, which makes these the perfect outfits for photos in NYC. The skirt is so very twirly and even has treasure pockets! Adalyn wouldn’t stop spinning when she tried it on. Charlotte is going to look so cute in her romper too! The skirt retails for $48.00 and the romper for $40.00. They are both available (as well as some other custom designed fabrics) on their website: www.sincerelyscout.com.
We are already big fans of Safari Ltd.’s animal figurines, so when I discovered that they had a NYC TOOB full of landmarks, I was so excited! It retails for only $11.99 for these 8 very detailed figurines. They come in a plastic tube that makes them the perfect travel toy too! Use the discount code “NYC” for 10% off your order! You can purchase yours directly from their website and check out all of the other amazing figures they offer at: www.safariltd.com.
I absolutely love supporting small shops, especially those who offer unique and awesome products that cannot be found anywhere else. Kate Durkin’s products are all beautifully illustrated are so fun! They offer pillows, placemats, card sets and fine art prints. This pigeon pillow retails for $35.00 and the placemat for $20.00. The card in the photo above is just one from their alphabet set that retails for $25.00. These would make for such adorable nursery decor! You can check out everything they offer on their website at: www.katedurkin.com.
I am SO excited to get to visit Torly Kid, a shop for tots to tweens in Tribeca & Torly & Tooby in Brooklyn while we’re on our trip! I look forward to getting to meet the owner/founder, Carol and hearing all about how these shops were created and seeing all of the amazing items they offer. She also has a travel company, Torly Travels that can help you plan your next adventure to New York City, or anywhere around the world!
I will be sharing more and adding some photos once I get a chance to visit them.
I am so excited to get to share our adventures with you! Click here for my next post–“Preparing for The Big Apple”.
